“We welcome the steady inflow of applications, once we are convinced that the entire implementation of this plan can get quite a distance in allaying fears of reported Zimbabwean people who’re contributing positively towards the development of our economy, in addition to students. The Department must work with speed to adjudicate these applications,” said Mr. Lemias Mashile, the Chairperson of the Board.
The Board was also impressed from the number of instances of fraud in acquiring false South African paperwork that was solved through this program. The system provided specific health to Zimbabwean people who acquired SA certification fraudulently. The whole system found 13 251 cases of fraudulent documentation. This resulted in the termination of those documents, the clearing up of the people register as well as the Zimbabwean nationals got appropriate permits.
The Panel informed the team on its absence of a clear strategy with regards to the adjudication process. A month after the purposes was exposed. The adjudication process has not started. “The not enough clear time frame in terms of the adjudication process is worrying. Develop the section will consider putting together a definite plan on how they’ll adjudicate the application form, especially because they realize how many application they’re expecting. This can reduce the waiting-time experienced by applicants during the DZP program,” Mr. Mashile emphasized.
