SA Permits can be renewed by Zimbabweans
Pretoria – Zimbabweans working in South Africa can start next week, reviving their special work permits, Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba said on Thursday.
“In August, I announced the establishment of the Zimbabwean Special Permit (ZSP) of 2014, enabling Zimbabwean holders of the particular permit to work, run company or study in South Africa for three years, until the ending of December 2017,” he said in Pretoria.
“Just the roughly 245 000 holders of the Dispensation for Zimbabweans Project (DZP) are qualified to apply for the ZSP.”
Applications for the ZSP may be lodged from October 1 on the web site vfsglobal.
In June, Gigaba declared that VFS Global, a worldwide outsourcing and technology service specialist for authorities and diplomatic missions, had been named to control visa and permit applications in South Africa.
On Thursday, he said the business was prepared to process the Zimbabwean immigrants.
